Check-in
Check-in usually starts two hours before departure. If you arrive before check-in has begun, you can wait in a car park or at the harbour station, if you're a foot passenger. All the ports we serve have services for improving your stay in port. |
 |
Control formalities
Once check-in begins, you will receive a boarding card upon presentation of your tickets and any reduction vouchers. These are required for you to bard (they show your confidential access code and the deck number of your cabin). We ask you to keep your boarding card without throughout your journey. At check-in, don't hesitate to tell us about any handicaps or specific problems that you may have. Our staff are here to help you. |
 |
Getting settled
During check-in and boarding, our electronic system will give you a seat or cabin to match your purchase.
If you have reserved shared cabins or seats and you are travelling in a group or with your family, we advise you to come as early as possible to check-in. Our system will, wherever possible, allocate you the same cabin (four people or more) or adjoining seats (or put men and women who are not travelling together in separate compartments).
If you want to upgrade your accommodation, see the onboard information desk during boarding. Our staff will try to help you once we have departed, depending on availability. |
 |
Boarding
Boarding starts at least one hour before departure. For high-speed vessel, boarding is usually 30 minutes before departure.
Please make sure you are near your vehicle at this time! Otherwise, you could seriously hold up boarding!
Our reception and check-in staff on the quayside and in the harbour stations will direct you to the ship. If you are a foot passenger, present your boarding card to the onboard staff, who will direct you to your seat or cabin.
For security and space reasons, we have to impose a minimum space between vehicles. Upon boarding, do not hesitate to tell us if you are handicapped or have any difficulties so our staff can take this into account while arranging your parking space. |

Before leaving the garage...
ou may of course leave your luggage inside your car. For security reasons, except in emergencies, you are not allowed to access your vehicle during the crossing.
Before leaving the garage for your seat or cabin: - put on your handbrake, put the car in gear and make sure your lights are out, - do not turn on your alarm. It will probably go off while at sea, - take all your personal belongings that you will need during the crossing (all our ships are air conditioned) - lock all doors and your boot, - if you have a pet in the car, leave it plenty of water and leave a window half open, - remember where you have parked using our signs as a guide.
Have a good crossing!
